Tips for Grade 8
📖

Build vocabulary systematically. Five Afrikaans words daily. By the end of Grade 8 you will have added 800+ words to your vocabulary.

✏️

Formal letter format is always tested. Adres, datum, aanhef, liggaam, afsluiting. Learn it and use it every time.

📝

Use the passive voice to vary your writing. Die brief is deur Jan geskryf. This adds variety and sophistication.

🔤

Figurative language: name it, quote it, explain it. Never just say 'there is a metaphor'. Quote it, name it, explain the effect.

🌱

Use conjunctions to build complex sentences. omdat, alhoewel, terwyl, tensy, sodat — these connect ideas and lift your writing grade.
