Tips for Grade 9
📖

Consolidate vocabulary before the exam. Make flashcards for Afrikaans words you struggle with. Review daily in Term 4.

✏️

Argumentative essays need a clear thesis. State your position in the first paragraph. Every body paragraph must support it.

📝

Passive voice in all tenses. Die brief word geskryf (present) / is geskryf (past) / sal geskryf word (future). Learn all three.

🔤

Use the full range of grammar. In Grade 9, examiners expect you to use complex sentences, modal verbs and figurative language naturally in your own writing.

🌱

Revise one grammar topic per day in Term 4. Systematic revision beats last-minute cramming every time.
