Afrikaans First Additional Language in Grade 4 introduces learners to Afrikaans as a practical communication tool. The CAPS curriculum focuses on building functional literacy in Afrikaans — reading simple texts with understanding, writing short sentences and paragraphs, and using basic grammatical structures. Learners develop core Afrikaans vocabulary, simple grammar and reading skills through everyday contexts. Bou woordeskat daagliks. Leer elke dag 5 nuwe Afrikaanse woorde.
